CRI DECLARED FASTEST GROWING INNOVATION COMPANY IN ICELAND

Carbon Recycling International (CRI) has been awarded the Icelandic Growth Consortium Award for 2019 in recognition of the company‘s growth and business milestones in 2018. The award was presented by Ms. Thordis Gylfadottir, Minister of Tourism, Industry and Innovation at a public ceremony in Reykjavik, Iceland.

The winner of the annual Icelandic Growth Consortium Award is selected by a jury appointed by the Icelandic Federation of Industry, Startup Iceland association, Reykjavik University and the Icelandic Research Fund. The objective of the award is to highlight the achievement of innovation companies and their contribution to the economy.

In 2012 CRI became the first company in the world to successfully demonstrate technology at industrial scale, to convert recycled CO₂ with H₂ into renewable fuel and chemicals. The company continues to develop its proprietary Emissions-to-Liquids platform, serve the fuel and chemicals industry and strengthen its position as a technology provider. In 2018, CRI continued to deliver renewable methanol from its existing production facility in Iceland, began deployment of Emissions-to-Liquids demonstration systems abroad and continued development of several commercial scale projects in Europe and China. Turnover increased by about 200% year-on-year.

„We are grateful for the honor bestowed by the Icelandic Growth Consortium to CRI today,“ said Sindri Sindrason CEO of CRI. „This award will act as a further encouragement for our hard-working team, which has positioned CRI as a global leader in CO₂ utilization technology.“
