Carbon Recycling International (CRI) and Jiangsu Sailboat have successfully started up one of the world's most efficient CO2-to-methanol plants. Operating with CRI’s proprietary Emissions-to-Liquids (ETL) technology, the plant will produce 150,000 tonnes of sustainable, commercial-grade methanol per year.

CRI is pleased to announce the closing of a 30-million-dollar equity investment round that was announced at the company’s annual general meeting last year. Equinor Ventures is leading a group of new investors joining CRI’s shareholder group. Along with Equinor Ventures Gildi, Sjóvá and Lífeyrissjóður Vestmannaeyja have also participated in the investment round.

Carbon Recycling International has been awarded a grant of 350,000 USD from the Icelandic Technology Development Fund for the development and engineering of the next generation of our ETL technology.
