Senior Process Engineer

The senior process engineer will be working in CRI’s multidisciplinary engineering team, responsible for the design of CRI’s emissions-to-liquid methanol production facilities. The person will participate in various international projects, throughout all phases of the projects, from feasibility study to plant operation.

Main responsibilities and tasks:

  • Modelling and designing unit operations and processes such for reactions, distillations, water electrolysis, flare and various gas separation processes.
  • Optimising unit operations and processes in terms of efficiency and economy (Capex/Opex)
  • Developing and updating heat and mass balances, process flow diagrams (PFD), process data sheets (PDS), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), and functional descriptions.
  • Coordinate and participate in design reviews, technical assessments, HAZOP, LOPA and SIL studies.
  • Procurement activities, including preparation of quotation requests, bid evaluation, participation in contracting, review of vendor documentation and participate in inspections such as factory and site acceptance tests (FAT/SAT).
  • Technical support for commissioning and start-up activities of unit operations, processes and plants
  • Support QA/QC development and participate in systems analysis, validation and verification.
  • Provide support, expertise and input to company processes such as operations, R&D and maintenance.

Requirements:

  • Master of Science in process, chemical engineering or other relevant subjects.
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in Chemicals, Refining, Oil & Gas or other relevant industry.
  • Solid experience in working in multidisciplinary projects.
  • Relevant experience and good knowledge of using modelling software, such as Aspentech, Unisim, Matlab. Experience of using COMSOL is a merit.
  • Knowledge and experience working with statutory and international standards.
  • Excellent written & verbal English skills.

Senior Mechanical Engineer

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will deliver engineering service within design, procurement, fabrication, construction, installation and commissioning phases of CRI’s green methanol plants. The work includes diverse engineering work on static, rotary and reciprocating machinery, piping and valves. The Sr. Mechanical Engineer will be working in CRI’s multidisciplinary engineering team, which is responsible for the design of CRI’s emissions-to-liquid methanol production facilities.

Main responsibilities and tasks:

  • Evaluation and selection of technical solutions for rotating mechanical equipment, such as gas compressors and pumps.
  • Design and modelling of static mechanical equipment, such as pressure vessels, reactors, columns, separators and skids.
  • Preparation of technical specifications, inspection and test requirements, and material requisitions for mechanical equipment.
  • Lead engineer responsibility for static and rotating mechanical equipment. Multi-disciplinary coordination of mechanical packages.
  • Technical evaluation of vendors and vendor bids, review of vendor documentation and vendor follow-up.
  • Company representative during factory acceptance test (FAT) and site acceptance test (SAT).
  • Review of sub-contractors’ detail engineering documentation.
  • Provide assistance during construction, installation and commissioning activities.
  • Update inhouse technical standards for mechanical equipment.
  • Participate in risk assessments such as HAZOP, HAZID and SIL/LOPA.
  • Participate in cost estimation work.
  • Provide support, expertise and input to company processes such as operations, R&D and maintenance.

Requirements:

  • Higher level education with a university degree in mechanical engineering or other relevant subject.
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience from engineering within the mechanical discipline in chemicals, refining, oil & gas or other relevant industry.
  • Solid experience in working in multidisciplinary projects.
  • Extensive engineering experience with static and rotating mechanical equipment, valves, pipes and mechanical skids.
  • Knowledge and experience working with statutory and international standards, such as PED, ASME, API, ISO, Machinery directive.
  • Proficient in Autodesk’s CAD software.
  • Excellent written & verbal English skills.

Senior Instrumentation and Control Engineer

The senior instrumentation and control engineer will be working in CRI’s multidisciplinary engineering team, responsible for the design of CRI’s emissions-to-liquid methanol production facilities. The person will participate in various international projects, throughout all phases of the projects, from feasibility study to plant operation.

Main responsibilities and tasks:

  • Design and develop specifications for DCS, SCADA & PLCs for new plants and existing plant modifications.
  • Specify communications protocols, processors, HMI interface, I/O modules, network devices, circuit protection, termination, shielding, interconnection details, etc.
  • Establish process control narrative/strategy and Cause and Effect (C&E) matrix for full facility operation
  • Assist process engineering development of P&ID’s and process control requirements.
  • Follow up on control system sub-contractor, review and approve engineering documents and participate in acceptance tests (FAT, SAT).
  • Provide assistance during commissioning and start-up of new plants.
  • Test, maintain and modify control systems for CRI’s existing facilities. Including PLC programming (Siemens and Allen Bradley).
  • Evaluate and select instruments, control valves and analyser solutions.
  • Develop specifications and data sheets for field instrumentation
  • Technical evaluation of vendors bids, review of vendor documentation and vendor follow-up.
  • Participate in risk assessments, such as HAZOP, HAZID and SIL/LOPA.

Requirements:

  • Higher level education with a university degree in electrical or automation engineering, or other relevant subject.
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience from engineering within the instrumentation/automation in chemicals, refining, oil & gas or other relevant industry.
  • Solid experience in working in multidisciplinary projects.
  • Significant experience with industrial process control system including DCS, PLC and SCADA based systems.
  • Experience on design and engineering on PCS, PSD, ESD and F&G systems.
  • Knowledge and experience working with relevant statutory and international standards.
  • Detail knowledge of ATEX requirements for hazardous areas.
  • Good understanding of instrumentation and controls components such as transmitters (temperature, pressure, level, flow), control valves, regulators, etc.
  • Excellent written & verbal English skills.
